We’ve noticed a handful of you have the same questions when it comes to booking a vacation home. The answers below should help you understand how to book one of our homes, what’s required, what we provide and what standards we’ve put in place thus far.

Here’s what you can expect.

Q: How do I book a Coastal Accommodations home?

A: You may book a home directly on our website or call us directly. However, sometimes you have questions that need answers before clicking that “book now” button.

If you reach out to us with information like the amount of people you’re traveling with, dates requested and the reason of travel, we can outline specific options that best fit your needs. What we’ll do next is send you some pricing and house details via email that you can look over and digest. Then, if you’d like to proceed with booking a home, we’ll take your credit card over the phone and require 50% payment up front to official reserve your spot. You remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to arrival. We will use the card on file to automatically capture your remaining balance unless notified 14 days prior or before this due date.

Q: What happens after I book a house?

A: After your payment, you’ll receive a Coastal Accommodations Vacation Rental Agreement to your email inbox. You’ll review, sign and return to state you acknowledge our terms and conditions while also providing us with some useful information! Lastly, about two weeks prior to arrival, we will send you check-in details that hold the answers to all your questions!

Q: How old do I need to be to reserve a Coastal Accommodations property?

A: We prefer to rent to adults and do not rent to college crowds. This is a family-oriented property and we like to rent to those who are respectful of neighbors close by.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: We understand that life can be crazy at times. Things come up. We request 60 days notice of any cancellations so we can try to rebook the house! With 60 days notice, you will receive 100% of your deposits back. We will refund you 50% of your payment if given 30 days notice.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: We’d rather not. These houses are newer and allergy-free and we’d like to keep them as such.

Q: What are the minimum nightly requirements?

A: During off-season, we request 2-3 night minimums. During the summer peak season, we require a weekly minimum. Monthly rentals are welcomed during the fall, winter and early Spring months.

Q: Do I have to put down a damage deposit?

A: We have partnered up with an insurance company who provides us with $1,500 worth of damage protection for a $59 flat fee upon booking. We ask that if anything is damaged during your stay that you notify us quickly so we can potentially fix the issue while you’re still on-site!

Q: What is the layout of the four bedroom townhouse on the East property?

A: Each house is pretty much identical in layout with the exception of decor. The photos we have listed on our website and listing websites showcases a few variations. These photos aren’t always the exact house being reviewed, we simply use those photos to display what the standard four bedroom looks like.

The first floor features a large, open concept kitchen and living area as well as a dining room and powder room. The second floor features two large king bedrooms, each with their own closets and bathrooms. The third floor features one bedroom with two twin beds and another bedroom with a queen bed. The third-floor bedrooms share a large bathroom. The second floor features a laundry room with sink. This house has approximately four porches and one patio.

Q: What is the layout of the two bedroom cottage on the East property?

A: The first floor features a living area, large kitchen, powder room and garage. The second floor has two queen bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and closet. The bedroom facing the courtyard has a large private porch with rockers. A front loading washer and dryer live on the second floor as well. For photos, take a peak.

Q: What is the layout of the one bedroom?

A: When you enter the home, you’ll walk into a spacious living room. There’s a full bathroom, garage access, a back door leading to a small patio facing the quiet alley and a large laundry room with storage, washer and dryer. There is a large TV located downstairs for lounging. The second floor features a powder room, a cozy living area with a TV and a beautiful, open-concept, fully stocked kitchen. A balcony with two rocking chairs overlooks the quaint courtyard. The bedroom, located on the second floor, features a queen-sized bed, a large bathroom and a spacious closet for your personal items. Q: Is there free private parking on site for both properties?

A: Yes! On our East property, each four bedroom townhouse has a private parking pad with enough space for two vehicles to double park. The one and two bedrooms have a parking garage. We also have a private parking pad in the alley, which is first come first serve.

On our West property, each house has two spots behind the house on the alley.

Q: How many people can each house accommodate?

A: The five bedroom sleeps ten people and the four bedrooms can sleep eight people comfortably. The two bedroom can sleep four people comfortably. The one bedroom sleeps two people comfortably.

Q: What’s the layout of the four and five bedrooms on the West property?

A: The four and five bedrooms are modern farmhouse-style townhouses with hand selected furnishings, custom designed fabrics, hardwoods downstairs and plush carpet upstairs. The first floor features a large, open concept kitchen which is fully stocked for your convenience, a comfortable living space for gathering, a dining area to seat 8-10, a powder room and a spacious laundry room. The second floor boasts three bedrooms, including a large master suite inclusive of a walk-in closet, spacious bathroom, TV and a private porch with rockers for lounging. The two queen bedrooms on the second floor each share a bathroom in the hallway. In the four bedroom, the third floor has the twin bedroom with two twin beds, bathroom and a cozy loft space with a TV. The five bedroom has a twin bedroom with two twin beds, a cozy loft space, spacious bathroom and a queen sized bedroom.

Q: What is provided with the rentals?

A: We provide paper products, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, linens, towels, iron, ironing board, cookware, china, silverware, grill with propane, WiFi, basic cable, board games, TVs, vacuum, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap and hand soap. If there is anything else you would like provided we are glad to accommodate with our concierge services!

Q: I’ve run out of toilet paper, can you bring me more?

A: We supply a small amount to get you started. The rest is up to you! The grocery store is a hop skip and a jump away. We’re happy to provide more toilet paper and anything else needed in a grocery delivery order if you are interested.

Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: No! Not inside. We provide cigarette ashtrays outside on the back patio for those who would like to smoke outdoors.

Q: How far is the house from the beach?

A: Both of our properties are located approximately three to four blocks from the 22nd Street boardwalk access and beach. It’s about a three to five minute walk!

Q: Can we hold events here?

A: This is always up for discussion but typically we prefer to hold dining gatherings, events and get-together’s elsewhere. Caroline has eight years of event planning experience and she is happy to help facilitate any planning and advice on affordable, available venues as alternatives to our home.

Q: How do I check in?

A: We send you check-in instructions approximately 14 days prior to your arrival. These details outline things like keyless door code to enter, address, parking instructions, check-in times and check-out times and procedures among other things. It is a comprehensive document that should answer all questions.

Q: When are check-in and check-out?

A: During peak season, we have strict check-in and check-out times to ensure all runs smoothly. Since we often have same day arrivals and departures, we ask you check-in by 4:00PM and check-out no later than 9:00AM. During off season, however, these times are flexible.

Q: What are the check-out procedures?

A: We ask that you dispose of all garbage prior to departure. This prevents ants from entering our homes! We also ask you treat this house like your home. This includes loading and starting the dishwasher, wiping down the counters if needed, stripping the beds to help the housekeepers out, etc.

Q: Do you offer any other services to your guests?

A: Yes! We can customize almost any experience for you. We offer a variety of concierge services like grocery delivery, private chef entertainment, childcare services, beach equipment rentals, bike rentals, boat rentals and many activities, however, we don’t stop there. Just let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll make it happen!
