Coastal Accommodations Cancellation & Refund Policy | Know Before You Book
Stuff happens. Plans change. We get it—sometimes life throws unexpected curveballs. Whether it's a sudden illness, broken appliances, or an emergency back home, we've seen it all. To ensure we're on the same page, here are some important details about our policies to protect you, our company, and the property owners.
Cancellation Policy
Coastal Accommodations' cancellation policy is as follows:
30+ days before check-in: Guests receive a 100% refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
14-30 days before check-in: Guests receive a 50% refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
Less than 14 days before check-in: No refund provided.
Example: If your reservation is from June 1-5 and you cancel on April 15, you'll receive a full refund minus the $50 fee. Cancel on May 2, and you get 50% back minus the $50 fee.
Special Circumstances: We may negotiate terms under specific conditions at our sole discretion, but don't expect refunds for mechanical failures or service interruptions. Consider purchasing Sun Trip Preserver Travel Insurance for protection against unforeseen cancellations like illness, death, or travel interruptions.
Catastrophic Events & Emergency Evacuations
In the event of a catastrophe (hurricane, tornado, earthquake) or any situation beyond our control that impairs the rental, we are not responsible for finding alternate lodging or covering financial losses related to transportation or alternate accommodations. No refunds or credits will be provided for emergency evacuations. Guests are advised to consider travel protection insurance to mitigate financial risks.

Maintenance and Repairs: Coastal Accommodations cannot guarantee against mechanical system or appliance failures. We will make every effort to complete repairs efficiently. Notify us immediately if you discover any damage or unsafe conditions on the property. Our maintenance team is available for urgent repairs and emergencies.
Guest Responsibility: Understand that renting a vacation property comes with the risk of things malfunctioning. We prioritize repairs, but a broken appliance or HVAC unit is not grounds for a refund unless it directly impacts your health, well-being, or the property's usability. We commit to being available for immediate concerns.
